Troubleshooting
Common issues and quick fixes. If you’re stuck, start by confirming your URL and keyword list are correct.
Rankings show “—” (not ranked)
- Make sure the keyword matches a real service you offer and a real location you serve.
- Try adding a city:
service + city is often clearer than broad terms.
- Confirm the target page exists and talks about that service (not just a generic homepage).
See: keyword tracking guide.
Indexed page, but no impressions
- Check whether the page title and H1 actually describe the service and location people search for.
- Make sure the page is linked from the homepage, docs hub, or another relevant hub page.
- Add supporting proof: FAQs, service-area mentions, screenshots, or process detail.
This usually signals a relevance or trust problem, not a technical outage.
Speed score is low
- Compress and resize images (especially hero images).
- Reduce unused scripts and heavy third-party embeds.
- Make sure the page doesn’t shift while loading (CLS).
See: weekly reports for what to prioritize.
Report looks worse after a page edit
- Confirm the canonical URL did not change accidentally.
- Check whether new copy diluted the page topic or introduced competing keywords.
- Look for broken internal links or removed headings before assuming rankings collapsed.
Most short-term drops come from intent drift or measurement timing, not permanent damage.
Review widget doesn’t appear
- Confirm you pasted the snippet exactly where you want it to render.
- Make sure the widget id is correct.
- If your site has a strict Content Security Policy, allow loading
https://ryncloud.com/widget/.
See: review widget docs.
Widget loads, but review content is incomplete
- Verify the connected review sources or uploaded review files are the latest version.
- Check that the widget ID matches the business you intended to display.
- If you changed platforms, resubmit the source list so the widget does not keep showing stale sources.
The widget is only as complete as the review source data tied to that widget ID.
Audit fails or times out
- Try again with a simpler homepage URL (no parameters).
- Use 3 specific keywords (service + city) rather than broad terms.
- If your site blocks bots, allowlist common crawlers or temporarily remove bot protection.
See: audit documentation.
Fast reset checklist
If you are not sure where the issue lives, work this sequence in order so you do not waste time fixing the wrong layer.
- Confirm the tracked URL, primary keyword list, and target pages.
- Check the latest weekly report for the first clear technical or speed blocker.
- Verify the page copy still matches the intended service and location.
- Only then escalate to widget, crawl, or form-level debugging.
