Getting Started
Use this checklist to go from “not sure where we rank” to a repeatable evidence-and-fix cycle, with clear next steps when you want placement or widget help.
1) Run the free audit (snapshot)
Start with a fast baseline so you know what to fix first.
2) Choose the next action
Fix the clearest on-site issue first. If relevant off-site business visibility fits the plan, review the one-time Authority Starter scope before secure checkout.
What to send on day one
Setup goes faster when the initial handoff is specific. The best onboarding requests answer the operational questions that usually stall local SEO reporting.
Business basics
- Primary website URL and the version you want tracked.
- Business name exactly as it appears on Google Business Profile.
- Main service areas or city targets you care about first.
Conversion priorities
- Your top 5 to 10 revenue keywords, not a list of every service variation.
- The landing page that should rank for each keyword.
- Which review sources you want surfaced in the widget first.
3) Pick keywords that convert
Good keywords look like “service + city” or “service near me”, not broad terms with unclear intent.
- Good:
emergency plumber st george, water heater repair near me
- Risky:
plumber (too broad), best plumber (varies by searcher)
Build your first 30-day operating rhythm
A consistent review cycle works best when it stays simple and measurable. Keep the first month focused on the same small set of pages and keywords.
- Week 1: run the audit, confirm your canonical homepage, and map every money keyword to one target page.
- Week 2: expand the weakest money page with location proof, service detail, and internal links.
- Week 3: fix the highest-impact speed or technical issue in the report instead of scattering changes across the whole site.
- Week 4: compare movement, keep the keyword set stable, and only replace terms that were clearly the wrong intent.
4) Compare the same evidence to pick the next action
After meaningful changes, repeat the same checks and focus on one or two improvements: indexing or technical fixes first, then content, speed, or conversion improvements for your best keywords.
5) Request review widget setup (trust builder)
Review the live demo, then request setup details. Existing customers can add the widget to a homepage or reviews page after receiving a widget ID and confirming the source list.
- Embed snippet uses your widget id:
<script defer src="https://ryncloud.com/widget/YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></script>
- Use the review source setup guide if you want to aggregate from multiple sources.
Common onboarding mistakes to avoid
- Tracking too many keywords before you know which pages are supposed to win.
- Using the homepage as the target page for every service and every city.
- Switching keywords every week before you have enough data to learn from them.
- Embedding the review widget before the source list or widget ID is finalized.
If you hit one of these issues, pause the rollout, simplify the target set, and use the docs below to re-anchor the plan.
